Feel.
See.
Hear.
Smell.
Taste.
We have only one body and mind.
What you put in, will be the result.
We have been overstimulating ourselves to the point of overthinking, exhaustion and exaggeration of our experiences:
Our foods have become too chemical-ridden that it kills us slowly.
Our social media have become so negative that people have died of suicide due to hateful comments.
According to Maria Ressa of Rappler, "Studies have shown that lies laced with anger and hate spread faster and further than facts."
Our songs have become so filled with too much strong hateful and lonesome words that it hurts us indirectly.
For 2026, I have made a goal to stop forms of these overstimulation to my body, may it be bad news or ultra-processed food.
I am cutting back on foods which have 8 or more ingedients - more so if the ingredients are which I am not familiar of.
I am minimizing watching Youtube, especially with themes such as tragedies, psychological disorders and anything with a negative undertone.
I have deactivated my Facebook for my well-being. I realized how bad social media is to our body and mind. It corrupts oneself without even noticing.
The Messenger stays as it is my gateway to my family and friends.
I have stopped listening to songs that overstimulate my hearing and went back to more chakra-themed, tibetan-bowl themed and indian flute-themed music. This has been a great change!
I started air-diffusing my room with oils like orange, peppermint and lemon. It helps me sleep better as well.
I am surrounding my life with people and experiences full of positivity, thankfulness, happiness and optimism.
And I am really getting serious on how to obtain transcendence.
Ikaw, anong pangako mo sa sarili mo ngayong bagong taon?
